國際電信聯盟（International Telecommunications Union, ITU）「2023年無線電通訊大會（Radiocommunication Assembly 2023, RA-23）」於2023年12月1日發布「ITU-R M.2160建議書（Recommendation ITU-R M.2160）」，進一步闡述「IMT-2030框架（IMT-2030 Framework）」中的6G標準及無線介面技術（Radio Interface Technology, RIT）開發框架。

下一代行動網路聯盟（Next Generation Mobile Networks Alliance, NGMN Alliance）於2023年2月14日發布「6G需求與設計注意事項（6G Requirements and Design Considerations）」白皮書，定義6G重要需求，並為標準開發組織（Standards Development Organisations, SDOs）ITU無線電通信部門（ITU Radiocommunication Sector, ITU-R）提供指導方針，以避免未來6G標準碎片化，並實現最終使用者可負擔的6G佈署與服務。
